Artehosting is born
August, 2006
Back in 2006, the web hosting industry was virtually nonexistent in Mexico. For the following months, Artehosting was just an idea in the making.
At that time, only one person worked at the company—our current CEO, Daniel Rivera.
Operations begin
September, 2008
Operations began by reselling hosting solutions from other Mexican companies. Although the infrastructure was not ideal, the outstanding service quality became our main differentiator.
That year, we gained our first 10 clients—most of whom are still with us today.
Growth begins
May, 2009
We reached our first 100 clients.
More hands were needed, and Artemio Sánchez—our current COO—joined the team. He was our very first team member!
Artehosting S.A. de C.V. is founded
July, 2011
In 2011, Artehosting was officially established as a legal corporation—a key milestone that allowed us to break into markets that were previously out of reach.
We stopped reselling and started designing our own infrastructure with leased servers.
Market leader in Mexico
2015
We launched the largest hosting plans in Mexico. While others offered 5GB or 10GB plans, we introduced 100GB, 500GB, and 1TB plans, positioning ourselves as a major industry player.
By then, we were managing over 300 websites and gaining clients from across Latin America.
Infrastructure in Mexico
2019
We explored the unthinkable—setting up infrastructure in Mexico despite the high costs. This journey was filled with successes and setbacks. We faced outages, national infrastructure limitations, and nearly gave up.
At that point, we were managing over 1,000 websites.
Data Center in Mexico
2021
After many failures, we finally succeeded in offering data center services in Mexico with the same uptime guarantees and speeds (up to 10Gbps) as in the U.S.—at a reasonable cost. We’re the only company in Mexico to achieve this successfully.
We launched specialized solutions for email, WordPress, Moodle, and our new multi-region Cloud VPS.
We were now managing over 2,000 websites.
