Modifications to Terms and Conditions
This policy describes how Webzi may modify its terms and conditions of service, how changes are notified to customers, and the options available in response to such modifications.
1. Right to Modify
Webzi reserves the right to modify, update, or change at any time the terms and conditions of service, including but not limited to:
- Acceptable use policies and permitted content
- Resource limits (space, bandwidth, inodes, etc.)
- Prices and billing cycles
- Privacy policies and data processing
- Service features and functionalities
- Support and customer service procedures
- Cancellation and refund policies
- Any other policy contained in these terms
2. Types of Changes
Changes to the terms are classified into two categories:
| Type | Description | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Material Changes | Significant modifications that affect customer rights, obligations, or costs | Price increases, resource reduction, new content restrictions |
| Non-Material Changes | Minor updates, corrections, or clarifications | Typographical error corrections, contact information updates, wording improvements |
3. Notification of Changes
Webzi will notify changes through the following means:
- Email: To the email address registered in the customer's account
- Client area: Through notice or notification at my.webzi.mx
- Website: Update of the "last modified" date on this page
Notification periods:
| Type of Change | Prior Notice |
|---|---|
| Material changes (prices, resources, restrictions) | 30 days before taking effect |
| Non-material changes (corrections, clarifications) | Immediate, no prior notice required |
| Changes due to legal requirements | As permitted by law (may be immediate) |
| Emergency changes (security) | Immediate, with subsequent notification |
4. Effective Date of Changes
Changes to the terms and conditions take effect as follows:
- New customers: Changes apply immediately upon signing up
- Existing customers: Changes apply after the notification period
- Renewals: Upon renewal, the terms in effect at that time are accepted
The effective date will be clearly indicated in the change notification.
5. Acceptance of Changes
Continued use of Webzi services after the effective date of changes constitutes implied acceptance of the new terms.
The customer is considered to have accepted the changes when:
- Continuing to use services after the effective date
- Making a renewal payment
- Contracting new services
- Not expressing disagreement within the established period
6. Customer Options Regarding Changes
If the customer does not agree with material changes, they have the following options:
- Cancel before effective date: Request service cancellation before changes take effect
- Do not renew: Allow the service to expire at the end of the current cycle without renewing
- Migrate: Transfer services to another provider before the effective date
Note: Cancellation due to disagreement with changes does not entitle a refund for the period already paid, unless the changes significantly affect the essential features of the contracted service.
7. Changes Due to Legal Requirements
When changes are necessary to comply with:
- New applicable laws or regulations
- Judicial or administrative orders
- Requirements from competent authorities
- Changes in industry standards (ICANN, etc.)
These changes may take effect immediately without the standard notification period. Webzi will notify customers as soon as reasonably possible.
