Content Policy

Webzi is not responsible for the content stored on our servers by our customers. However, we strictly prohibit any content that violates the laws of Mexico, the United States of America, or the laws of the country where the customer resides.

1. Strictly Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in the immediate suspension of service without prior notice and without right to refund:

1.1 Illegal and Harmful Content

  • Child exploitation: Any content involving minors in sexual, violent, or exploitative contexts. Zero tolerance.
  • Pornography: Explicit sexual content of any kind
  • Extreme violence: Gore, torture, murder, mutilation
  • Hate speech: Racist, xenophobic, homophobic content or content that promotes violence against specific groups
  • Terrorism: Promotion, recruitment, or support of terrorist activities
  • Sale of illegal substances: Drugs, narcotics, controlled substances without authorization
  • Sale of weapons: Firearms, explosives, prohibited weapons
  • Human trafficking: Any content related to human trafficking

1.2 Fraud, Phishing, and Impersonation

  • Phishing: Sites designed to steal credentials or personal information by impersonating another entity
  • Scam/Fraud: Fraudulent schemes, Nigerian scams, lottery fraud
  • Identity theft: Impersonating another person, company, or institution
  • Pyramid schemes: Fraudulent multilevel schemes, Ponzi schemes
  • Fraudulent investments: Promises of unrealistic returns, unregulated trading, HYIPs
  • Counterfeiting: Sale of counterfeit products, fake documents

1.3 Malware and Malicious Activities

  • Malware: Distribution of viruses, trojans, ransomware, spyware
  • Botnets: Command and control servers (C&C/C2)
  • Exploit kits: Tools for exploiting vulnerabilities
  • DDoS attacks: Attack services or related tools
  • Hacking: Hacking services, sale of unauthorized access, stolen databases
  • Carding: Sale of stolen cards, compromised financial data

1.4 Prohibited Scripts and Software

  • IRC Scripts / Unauthorized bots
  • Anonymous proxy or VPN scripts for evasion
  • Cryptocurrency mining scripts
  • Pirated software or cracks
  • IP Scanners or port scanning tools
  • Mail bombers, spam scripts, or mass mailers (Mailer Pro, PHPMailer for spam, etc.)
  • Brute force or password cracking tools
  • Aggressive scrapers that affect third parties

1.5 Other Prohibited Content

  • Unlicensed sweepstakes, lotteries, or gambling sites
  • Unlicensed commercial audio/video streaming
  • Commercial banner rotation services (banner farms)
  • Warez sites, torrents, or illegal downloads
  • Mirror sites of copyrighted content

2. Intellectual Property and Copyright

It is prohibited to host content protected by copyright without the express authorization of the rights holder. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Music, movies, TV series, e-books
  • Unlicensed commercial software
  • Protected photographs and images
  • Paid course content or educational materials
  • Any protected work reproduced without authorization

2.1 DMCA Procedure (Digital Millennium Copyright Act)

Webzi respects intellectual property rights and complies with the DMCA procedure. If you are a copyright holder and believe your content is being used without authorization on our infrastructure:

  1. Send a notification to abuse@webzi.mx with the subject "DMCA Takedown Notice"
  2. Include: identification of the infringing material, specific URL, proof of ownership, contact information, and a statement under penalty of perjury
  3. Webzi will notify the customer and may remove or disable access to the content
  4. The customer may submit a counter-notification if they believe there is no infringement

Note: False or bad faith DMCA notifications may have legal consequences for those who submit them.

3. Indemnification Clause

The customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Webzi, its directors, employees, partners, and providers, against any claim, lawsuit, loss, damage, cost, or expense (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Content hosted by the customer on our servers
  • Intellectual property rights violations
  • Illegal activities conducted from the customer's account
  • Breach of these terms of service
  • Third-party claims arising from the use of our services

4. Responsibility of Reseller, VPS, and Dedicated Customers

Customers with reseller plans, VPS, or dedicated servers are directly responsible for the content hosted by their own customers. This implies:

  • Obligation to inform their customers about this Content Policy
  • Implement their own terms of service that are at least as restrictive as ours
  • Monitor and respond to abuse reports from their customers
  • Act immediately upon detected violations
  • Assume joint liability for their customers' content before Webzi

Non-compliance by a reseller's customer may result in the suspension of the entire reseller account, not just the offending account.

5. Suspension Process

The suspension process varies according to the severity of the violation:

Webzi reserves the right to determine the severity of each case at its discretion. Repeated violations may result in permanent account cancellation without right to refund.

6. Cooperation with Authorities

Webzi will fully cooperate with competent authorities (Mexican and international) upon valid legal requests. This may include:

  • Providing account holder information
  • Preserving digital evidence
  • Suspending or canceling accounts by court order
  • Proactively reporting serious illegal activities (especially those related to minors)

7. Files That May Be Automatically Deleted

To maintain the stability and performance of our shared infrastructure, Webzi reserves the right to automatically delete, with or without prior notice, the following files when they exceed 500 MB:

  • Error files (error_log, *.log)
  • Complete backup files from cPanel, Softaculous, or similar
  • Software debug files
  • Temporary files or incomplete downloads
  • Excessively large application caches

It is the customer's responsibility to keep their space clean and download their backups to external storage.
